The Humidity Sensor is configured for measuring relative humidity in environmental control

systems, where condensation or dust will commonly be encountered. A fully gasketed watertight

enclosure, and a brass sintered filter protect the electronics and sensors from environmental or

mechanical damage. An electronic circuit in the enclosure converts the capacitance to a voltage

output which is linearly proportional to the ambient relative humidity.The sensor is to be mounted

in a solar radiation shield when placed outdoors.The sensor can be powered by 10-30 Vdc.

• The Anemometer Cup Counter is used for measuring the wind speed. The instrument has a Cup wheel comprising of three conical cups made fromAluminium / Copper sheet with bedded edges and free to rotate in a horizontal plane. The Cup wheel spindle is connected by worm gearing to a revolution counter mounted inside waterproof housing made fromAluminium / Gunmetal casting. The gear ratio between the cup and counter is so chosen that the run of the wind is shown directly in Kilometers and tenths. The Counter mechanism has five figures and reads upto 9999.9 km. before repeating itself.

Cup Rotor Assembley :-

• Each of the three rotor cups have an internal Dia. of exactly 127.0 mm and semi-conical in shape. The spindle is supported on two bearings. The assembly is made as per the instruction laid in IS:5912

Worm & Worm Wheel :-

• The Worm & Worm wheel are so designed that worms threads engage without friction to the Worm wheel. The gearing ratio shall be 32 revolutions of Cup produce one revolution of the Worm wheel.

Body & Lid :-

• The body and the lid are made from Aluminium / Gunmetal casting and Glass window only viewing the five figure wheels of the counter.

Counter:-

• It is a non-reset, direct drive revolution mechanical counter adding one count for each one tenth revolution. The figures of the Counter shall be 7 mm high of white pigment colour on black background

• A Industrial Wind Vane is used for indicating the Direction from which the wind is blowing. A Wind vane consists of a horizontal Arm carrying a rectangular flat fin mounted by means of thrust rod and brass bushes in a support. The horizontal arm is balanced about its axis of rotation by counter weight attached to the end opposite to the fin. The vane and eight direction rods are supported on a suitable galvanized iron pipe threaded into a base casting Four direction arms carry the letter N, E, S & W which point towards the corresponding true direction while four direction rods indicate the intermediate directions. The position of the counter weight with respect to the eight direction arms indicate the wind direction and may easily be determined by interpolation to the nearest sixteen points of the compass.
• The aluminium material is used for the fabrication of the instrument so it may withstand permanent exposure in the open and has a long life. The fin is securely fixed to the horizontal arm at one end and on the other end of the arm counter weight is fixed in such a way that the complete assembly is accurately balanced about the spindle. The horizontal arm is perfectly straight and the top end of the spindle projecting up from the horizontal arm is held firmly by a nut. The bearing housing cap is locked to the spindle by a steel pin. 
• The spindle is a straight rod turned and finished accurately such that it revolves in the bearings with the minimum friction. The spindle is locked to the bearing by means of a steel pin. The mounting ring for direction arms is made of aluminium metal and carry the eight cardinal and inter-cardinal direction arms. It is fixed to the top of the main support tube by screws. The mounting ring has rest level over a collar at the top of the main support is a straight galvanized steel pipe with standard pipe threads at one end for screwing into the base. The other end takes the collar and mounting ring for direction arms. The main support tube is locked to the base by a suitable steel pin. The base is cast from aluminium material and has three holes for taking the foundation bolts. The external surface is suitably protected with primer and finishing paint. The four directions letters N, E, S and W is painted with red colour. The complete instrument is packed by dismantled the fin from the horizontal arm and the direction rods from the mounting ring in a strong wooden case to withstand all possible transit risks.

• The Collector and Base are made of FRP (Fibre) with Smooth Surface finish with long life. The Non-recording raingauge consists of a rain water collector and a measuring bottle having markings on it. By manually inspecting the level of water in the bottle the measurement is done. 
• The Self Recording Raingauge (SRRG) consists of a rain water collector and a rainfall recording mechanism mounted on a base. The rainfall measuring unit consists of a float chamber containing a light metal float and a siphen chamber. The chart is wound on rotating drum driven by mechanical clock which rotates 1 revolution in 25 hours. The float rises as per the rainfall & so the recording pen also rises plotting a line of on the chart. When the siphen chamber is filled completely, the water in it drains out completely called "Siphoning". When siphoning occurs, the pen fixed on the float rod falls to the zero mark on the chart and the gauge is ready to record rainfall again. There are also 10 mm & 25 mm ranges available as per requirements.

• Infiltration is the process of water penetrating the ground surface. The intensity of this process is called the infiltration rate. The infiltration rate is expressed in terms of the volume of water per ground surface and per unit of time [L/T, for instance mm/min]. The infiltration capacity of the soil indicates the maximum infiltration rate at a certain moment. Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to determine the infiltration capacity of the soil, for instance in infiltration areas or infiltration basins.
• The double ring infiltrometer is suitable for almost any type of soil and is applied in irrigation and drainage projects, groundwater and infiltration basins, in optimising water availability for plants and to determine the effects of cultivation.
• The instrument consists of two concentric rings inner and outer rings. The outer ring is 30 cm diameter; the inner ring 15 cm diameter made from Stainless Steel with Sharp Edge at end. The two rings are driven into the ground and partially filled with water. The double ring design helps prevent divergent flow in layered soils. The outer ring acts as a barrier to encourage only vertical flow from the inner ring.
• The water level is maintained for a specific period of time, using the level tube, depending on the type of soil and permeability level. The volume of water needed to maintain a specified level and the time factors are recorded. This information is converted into a specific infiltration rate by calculation.

• The Thermo Hygrograph Combined is designed for measuring and recording atmospheric Temperature & Humidity as a function of time on recording chart. The Thermo-hygrograph uses a simple mechanisms for measuring both temperature & humidity. Measurements are recorded onto a rotating paper chart. A rotating drum is driven by a precision electronic Quartz clock. The chart paper used on the drum recorder has two separate sections, an upper section for temperature and a lower section for humidity. Both sections have the zero or low-scale at the bottom edge of the scale and the full-scale or high-scale at the upper edge.
• A curved, bi-metal element bends and straightens as the air temperature around it changes. The bending of the curved element moves the temperature pen arm and results in the recording on the chart paper
• Relative humidity measurements are made with a human hair sensing element. Changes in the moisture content of the air causes the length of the hair to change. The hair is attached firmly to the frame of the hygrothermograph so that the expansion and contraction of the hair can be translated into the movement of the pen arm.

• The Hair Hygrograph Instrument is designed for measuring & recording atmospheric relative humidity as a function of time on recording chart. It is used in the meteorological service as also in cold stores, spinning mills, pharmaceutical factories, telephone exchanges & pollution control equipment. Hair Hygrograph gives a record of relative humidity on recording paper. For the  measurement of relative humidity hygroscopic properties of human hair & its ability of changing the length according to the quantity of water vapour present in the ambient atmosphere is used. The hair strand element is fixed by means of a holder. One end of the holder is fixed to the bracket while the other end is movable by means of tension spring and adjusting screw. Hair strand is hooked at the center to the link mechanism. The· change in length of hair element is transferred to the pen arm by special cams. Due to the earn mechanism arrangement we get a linear scale on the graph. Recording pen draws the graph of relative humidity against time on the chart. The arms of recording pens are supported in articulated joints with slant axis that makes possible uniform & constant pressure of the pen tip on the chart drum.
